This Skull Head Purple Clay Backflow Incense Burner is sculpted as a grim skull with molded teeth, hollow eye sockets, and a cracked crown, finished in the deep matte tone of purple clay. When a backflow cone burns on the top opening, the smoke sinks through internal channels and pours out of the eye sockets, cascading down the face and pooling around the base like fog; a stick incense can also rest in the side hole. It makes a gothic accent for a shelf, desk, or mantel and doubles as a Halloween display piece.

Why You'll Love This Incense Burner
- The skull's teeth, eye sockets, and crown cracks are sculpted in relief, so the piece reads clearly even when no incense is burning.
- The backflow channels send smoke out through the eye sockets, creating a cascading, pooling effect while a cone burns.
- Two burning styles in one piece: a backflow cone on the crown opening or a stick incense in the side hole.
- A distinctive gift for fans of gothic home decor, and an easy centerpiece for Halloween shelves and meditation corners.
Care Instructions
- Let the burner cool completely before moving it or emptying ashes.
- Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth; avoid water, perfumes, and harsh cleaners.
- Store in a dry place on a stable surface, away from table edges.
- Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep the burner away from flammable materials.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the package include incense cones or sticks?
No. The package contains 1 incense burner only, as listed in the details. You can add standard backflow incense cones on the crown opening or a stick incense in the side hole.
How does the backflow smoke effect work?
A lit backflow cone sits on the top opening. Because the smoke is cooler than the surrounding air, it sinks through the internal channels, flows out of the eye sockets, and pools at the base. Cones without the hollow base typical of backflow incense will not produce the cascade.
Is this burner only for Halloween?
No. The purple clay skull works as a year-round gothic accent on a shelf, desk, or mantel, and becomes a seasonal centerpiece when styled for Halloween displays.
Will each burner look exactly the same?
Each piece is handmade from natural purple clay, so small differences in carving detail, surface tone, and size can occur, and colors may appear slightly different on screen than in person.
What are the actual dimensions and weight?
The burner measures 11.3*7.9*8.6cm (Height*Length*Width) and weighs 221g (N.W.), a palm-sized tabletop piece that sits stably on its broad base.
