The Sakyamuni Buddha Namaste Statue is a decorative figure cast in iron powder resin — 80 percent iron powder blended with 20 percent resin — so it carries the look and heft of cast metal. The Buddha stands with hands pressed together at the chest, robe folds carved in long flowing lines down the figure, a pointed halo rising behind the head, and a base ringed with rounded lotus petals. A rust version and a polished version are listed, and the statue is sized for a desk, shelf, or tea table display.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Buddha: In Buddhist tradition the Buddha figure has long been regarded as an emblem of compassion, serenity, and introspection, and standing Buddha images are a familiar form in Buddhist-influenced art. Here the figure is shown in the namaste pose, palms joined before the chest — a gesture traditionally read as one of respect and greeting across South and East Asian cultures.
Lotus Base: The statue stands on a base carved with lotus petals. Rising clean from muddy water to bloom, the lotus has traditionally been regarded as a symbol of purity in Buddhist tradition, and the petal base is a common feature of Buddha iconography.

Why You'll Love This Buddha Statue
- At about 340g and 14.5cm tall, the figure feels solid and grounded on a surface rather than light and hollow.
- The iron powder resin gives the carving a true cast-metal character, with warm tones settling into the recessed robe lines on the rust version.
- The narrow 3.4cm footprint fits a bookshelf, altar corner, or desk beside a tea cup without crowding the space.
Care Instructions
- Dust the statue with a soft, dry cloth; keep it away from water, humidity, and harsh chemicals, which can alter the finish.
- Display it indoors on a stable, level surface out of direct sunlight.
- The rust version has an intentionally aged, mottled surface; its tone deepens and shifts slightly with ambient conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the rust and polished versions?
Both are cast from the same iron powder resin design. The rust version has a dark, aged surface with warm tones in the carved recesses, while the polished version reads brighter and more metallic. The listing includes both.
Is the statue made of solid metal?
No. It is cast from 80% iron powder and 20% resin, which gives it a metal-like look and a solid about 340g weight while remaining a resin composite decorative piece.
How much shelf space does it need?
The statue measures 14.5cm tall, 5cm wide, and 3.4cm deep, so it fits on a standard shelf, desk edge, or altar ledge with room for a few coordinating pieces nearby.
Can I display it outdoors?
It is meant for indoor display. Rain and prolonged humidity can affect the iron powder resin surface and the finish, so keep it in a dry spot such as a living room shelf or meditation corner.
Will my statue look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not identical. Each piece is handmade and cast, so minor irregularities occur, and lighting and screen differences can shift the apparent color slightly from the pictures.
