The Mini Tathagata Buddha Liuli Crystal Figurine is a small cast-glass display piece showing a Buddha figure seated in meditation. The frosted, translucent body softly diffuses light, the chest carries a carved swastika (wan) mark, and the compact 5.3*4*8.5 cm form fits a desk, shelf, or quiet altar corner. Colored liuli and clear transparent versions are offered.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
The Tathagata Buddha figure: In Buddhist tradition the Buddha image has long stood for compassion, stillness, and introspection. This piece follows that iconographic convention — curled hair, lowered eyes, hands resting in the lap in a seated meditation posture — and is intended as a decorative art reference rather than an object of worship.
The wan (卍) chest mark: The symbol carved at the figure's chest is the wan, an ancient auspicious sign in Indic religious traditions whose Sanskrit name conveys well-being and good fortune; it has appeared on the chest of Buddha images in Buddhist sacred art for centuries.
Liuli glass: Liuli is a translucent cast glass with a long history in Chinese decorative arts. Its cloudy, light-catching surface gives the seated figure a soft glow, and no two pours match exactly in tone and detail.

Why You'll Love This Figurine
- Hand-poured uniqueness: natural variation in the liuli makes each piece one of a kind in tone and internal detail.
- Compact, stable footprint: at roughly 8.5 cm tall with a flat base, it sits securely on a nightstand, tea table, or bookshelf.
- Soft light play: the frosted translucent glass catches and diffuses indoor light, which suits a calm reading or meditation corner.
Care Instructions
Wipe the glass with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners. Keep the piece away from standing moisture, perfumes, and sprays, and out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the glass tone. Store in a dry place where it will not be knocked over.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the figurine in hand?
It measures 5.3*4*8.5 cm — palm-sized, a little taller than a standard coffee mug. That scale works well on a desk, shelf, or tea table without dominating the surface. Manual measurement may vary slightly.
What is the difference between the liuli and transparent versions?
Both are cast liuli glass in the same seated Buddha design. The liuli versions carry a colored, frosted tone, while the transparent version reads clearer and lighter. Because the glass is hand-poured, color depth and internal details vary from piece to piece.
What do the markings on the figure mean?
The carved chest symbol is the wan (卍), an ancient auspicious sign in Indic religious traditions that has appeared on Buddha images in Buddhist art for centuries. The design details are decorative references to that tradition, not claims of any effect.
Can I keep it in a bathroom or other damp space?
A dry display spot is better. The glass itself is not porous, but repeated moisture and harsh cleaners can dull the frosted surface, so a shelf, desk, or altar corner away from sinks is the recommended place.
How should I clean it?
Use a soft, dry cloth, or one lightly dampened with water, then dry the piece. Avoid abrasives, alcohol-based sprays, and ultrasonic cleaners, which can scratch or cloud the translucent surface.
Note: Cultural references describe traditional beliefs and design inspiration only. They are not claims that the product produces any actual effect.
