This Vajrasattva Buddha Statue is carved in two tones of wood: a pale, finely detailed relief of the seated figure set inside a dark, openwork arched frame on a lotus-petal base. The piece is made for display on a shelf, desk, or altar corner rather than for wear.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Vajrasattva: In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Vajrasattva is a Buddha figure traditionally depicted holding a vajra at the chest and a bell in the other hand, seated cross-legged on a lotus throne with a halo behind the head, which is the pose carved here.
Vajra and Bell: The vajra is a ritual implement in Tibetan Buddhism; traditionally paired with a bell, the two are regarded as symbols of method and wisdom.
Lotus Throne and Frame: The figure rests on carved lotus petals, a form long associated with purity in Buddhist art, while the dark wood arch and openwork lattice behind it echo the halos and temple screens seen in traditional religious carving.

Why You'll Love This Statue
- Two-tone carving: the pale relief against the dark frame keeps the figure readable from across the room.
- Natural material: wood grain and tone vary from piece to piece, so each statue is slightly unique.
- Compact display: at 7*7.5cm and 226g, it sits neatly on a desk, bookshelf, or entry table without taking up space.
Care Instructions
Keep the statue dry and out of direct sunlight and humid rooms such as bathrooms. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and avoid water, polishes, and chemical cleaners, which can dull the carved surfaces and the natural grain.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the statue exactly?
The listing gives a size of 7*7.5cm and a weight of 226g, so it is a small tabletop piece. Compare it with a standard hardcover book before choosing a display spot.
Is every statue identical?
No. It is hand-carved wood, so grain pattern, tone, and small relief details vary between pieces, and the colour may look slightly different from the photos depending on lighting.
Where should I display it?
A quiet shelf, desk, or altar corner works well. Keep it away from moisture and prolonged sun, and on a stable surface where it will not be knocked over.
How do I clean the carved details?
Use a soft dry cloth or a clean, dry brush to lift dust from the openwork lattice and the relief. Do not wash the piece or apply liquid cleaners.
