Hand-Painted Chinese Zodiac Ceramic Teacup with Animal Motif for Kung Fu Tea

This Hand-Painted Chinese Zodiac Ceramic Teacup is a small kung fu tea bowl with a capacity of about 130 milliliters, finished in a speckled cream glaze with a warm gold-toned rim. The cups shown carry hand-painted zodiac animals - an ox at pasture, a roaring tiger on rock, a coiled snake, a green-scaled dragon, a rabbit beneath bamboo, and a rat beside a branch of red fruit - rendered in a traditional brushwork style, and the listing offers all twelve zodiac signs to choose from.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Chinese Zodiac: In Chinese tradition the zodiac is a cycle of twelve animals, each ruling one year and, in the old timekeeping, a two-hour segment of the day; the painted animals follow this classic sequence, so a cup can be matched to a birth-year sign.
Dragon: The dragon is a longstanding motif in Chinese decorative art, traditionally associated with strength, authority, and auspicious occasions, and it appears here coiled among clouds and waves in green and red scales.
Tiger: In Chinese folk tradition the tiger has long been regarded as the king of beasts and a symbol of courage and vigor; the painted tiger strides over rock in the classic mountain-king pose.
Ox: The ox has traditionally been admired in Chinese farm culture as a symbol of diligence, patience, and steady strength, and it is shown here grazing by reeds.
Rabbit: In Chinese tradition the rabbit is bound up with the moon through the folk image of the Jade Rabbit, and is regarded as a gentle, quick-witted creature; the painted rabbit rests beneath bamboo in that classic pairing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pick which zodiac animal to buy?
Match the sign to a birth year in the twelve-year zodiac cycle - for example, choose the dragon cup for someone born in a dragon year. The listing carries all twelve animals, so you can also simply pick the creature whose painted design you like best.
Are all twelve animals actually available?
Yes. The listing describes twelve zodiac options, one per animal sign, each hand-painted on the same cup form with the same speckled cream glaze and gold-toned rim.
Will my cup look exactly like the one in the photo?
Close but not identical. Each cup is hand-painted and fired at high temperature, so the listing notes that color, pattern, and size vary slightly with kiln conditions - small differences are part of each piece's handmade character.
What size is the cup and is it good for tea?
It is a personal brewing bowl: 7.2 cm wide, 6 cm tall, holding about 130 ml. That is a generous single portion for loose-leaf tea in a kung fu setup, and the flared rim makes it easy to load leaves and rinse the bowl clean.
Are the tray and other props in the photos included?
No. The listing states that the other cup accessories shown alongside the cups are photo props only and are not included; you receive the ceramic tea cup in the zodiac design you select.
Note: Cultural references describe traditional beliefs and design inspiration only. They are not claims that the product produces any actual effect.
