A small, softly stylized Sakyamuni Buddha Statue cast from iron powder resin — 80% iron powder to 20% resin — and finished in a matte, grainy grey-brown patina with warm rust tones settling into the robe folds and the cupped hands. The figure sits cross-legged with its hands resting in the lap, the robe falling in one smooth sweep over the shoulders. Offered in two sizes, it is made for quiet corners of the home: a desk, a windowsill, a bookshelf, or an altar niche.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Sakyamuni Buddha: In Buddhist tradition the Buddha figure is traditionally regarded as a symbol of compassion, serenity, and introspection. This piece follows that image tradition in a pared-down, modern form — a calm downcast face, a rounded crown, and a body simplified into the single curve of the robe.
Meditation Posture: The seated cross-legged pose with both hands resting palm-up in the lap corresponds to the meditation gesture seen across Buddhist sculpture, traditionally associated with collected stillness and inner attention. Here it is rendered without ornament, so the posture itself carries the meaning of the design.
Rust Patina: The iron powder in the casting gives the surface a weathered, metal-like grain, and the rust finish deepens in the recesses — an aged-bronze look that is applied as a decorative finish, not a claim about the material's history.

Why You'll Love This Statue
Its minimalist silhouette keeps the focus on posture and surface: the grainy matte texture and rust-kissed folds photograph and read well next to plants, stones, or plain ceramics without competing with them. At 100 g or 190 g it is light enough to move between rooms yet sits on a broad, stable base. Because each piece is hand-finished, the balance of grey and rust varies slightly from statue to statue, so yours will not be an exact copy of any photo.
Care Instructions
Keep the statue dry — the iron powder content means prolonged moisture can deepen or spread the rust finish. Dust with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush; avoid water, chemical cleaners, and abrasives, which can lift the patina. Display it away from bathrooms, outdoor exposure, and damp windowsills, and out of harsh direct sun to keep the tone even.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which size should I pick?
The small option measures about 9.5 x 5.8 x 3.6 cm and weighs roughly 100 g — palm-sized, good for a desk or shelf among other objects. The large option is about 11.5 x 7.4 x 4.5 cm at roughly 190 g and reads better as a standalone piece. Compare either set of numbers against the space you have in mind.
Is the surface shiny or rough?
Matte and slightly grainy, closer to cast metal or aged stone than to polished resin. The rust tones sit mainly in the recesses of the robe and hands, so the highlights stay grey-brown.
Can I display it outdoors or in a humid room?
No. Keep it indoors and dry. Rain, sprinklers, and bathroom humidity can affect the iron powder body and the applied finish over time.
Will mine look exactly like the picture?
Close, but hand-finishing means the rust distribution, surface grain, and small details vary from piece to piece, and the listing notes that handmade items may not be perfectly uniform. Screen lighting can also shift the color slightly.
Does it tip over easily?
No. The crossed legs form a wide, flat base, and at 100–190 g the statue feels planted on a shelf or desk rather than top-heavy.
