This Handcrafted Liuli Lotus Flowerpot is a pure display piece: carved lotus blossoms in translucent blue-gray glass, each with a pale green center and golden stamens, rise on slender copper-colored wire stems from a small green liuli pot filled with white pebbles. At about 12 cm tall, it is sized for a desk, shelf, windowsill or altar corner.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Lotus: Rising clean from muddy water to bloom on the surface, the lotus has traditionally been regarded as a symbol of purity and quiet emergence in Buddhist and South Asian traditions. Here the motif shapes the whole piece: open blossoms, a half-open bud and flat floating pads are carved in glass and set above a small pot, echoing a lotus pond in miniature.
Translucent glass blossoms: The petals are formed in liuli, a colored glass, so light passes through the blooms and softens their blue-gray tone wherever the piece stands.

Why You'll Love This Display Piece
- The lotus is the clear focal point — carved petals, pale centers and golden stamens read from across the room rather than blending into a plain pot.
- Because each blossom is hand-finished in colored glass, no two pieces carry exactly the same color distribution.
- Its compact footprint and 12 cm height make it an easy accent on a desk or shelf, and a distinctive gift for anyone who likes lotus or glass art.
Care Instructions
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth; keep harsh cleaners, perfumes and chemicals away from the glass.
- Keep the piece out of standing moisture and away from direct heat, which can dull the glass and the wire stems.
- Handle the wire stems gently — bent or pulled stems can stress the glass blossoms.
- Display or store in a dry place, away from table edges where it could be knocked over.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I plant a real flower in this pot?
No. This is a decorative glass display piece, not a planter. The pot holds white pebbles and the glass-and-wire lotus stems; soil and water are not part of the design.
How big is it on a shelf?
The listing measures it at approx. 6.5 cm × 6.5 cm × 12 cm (2.55 in × 2.55 in × 4.72 in) and approx. 200 g, so it takes up less space than a coffee mug and is light enough to move easily.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
Expect a close match in overall design, with small differences. Each piece is handmade in colored glass, so color, shape and size can vary slightly, and lighting shifts the tone between photos and real life.
What materials is the lotus made of?
The listing gives the material as Liuli, a colored glass, used for the pot, blossoms and pads, with thin copper-colored wire stems connecting them into the pebble-filled base.
Is this a good gift?
Yes, if the recipient likes lotus motifs or glass art. It arrives as one complete display piece (1 × Decor Piece), ready to sit on a desk or shelf.
