This Sandstone Meditation Buddha Desk Statue shows an upright seated figure with hands resting in the lap and a long robe falling in smooth folds to a rounded base, carved in sage-green speckled sandstone with a matte stone finish. At about 9.5 cm tall, it is sized for a desk, nightstand, or shelf in a quiet corner of the home or office.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Buddha figure: In Buddhist-influenced art the Buddha figure is traditionally regarded as a symbol of compassion, serenity, and introspection. Meditation posture: The upright seated form with hands cupped in the lap recalls the classic contemplative pose seen across centuries of Buddhist sculpture. This statue renders both references in a pared-back modern style, with simplified facial features and clean robe lines that let the stone texture carry the detail.

This item is HANDMADE and made of NATURAL materials, so it may show minor irregularities, and due to lighting effects the color can vary slightly from the photos.
Why You'll Love This Zen Buddha
- The tall, slender silhouette reads clearly even at its small scale, making it an easy focal point on a busy desk.
- The fine speckle across the matte stone keeps the long robe folds soft and natural rather than shiny.
- Its compact footprint suits plant shelves, monitor ledges, and bedside tables where larger statues would crowd the space.
Care Instructions
Keep the statue indoors and away from water, humidity, and harsh cleaners, since sandstone is porous. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and place it on a level surface where it will not be knocked over.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is it on a desk?
About 6 x 4.5 x 9.5 cm (2.36 x 1.77 x 3.74 in) — roughly the height of a smartphone, so it holds its own on a keyboard-side shelf without crowding the workspace.
Is the surface smooth or textured?
Fine-grained and matte, with a light speckle across the sage-green stone that keeps the carved robe folds soft rather than reflective.
Is each statue identical?
No. The listing notes the pieces are handmade from natural material, so minor irregularities and slight color differences from the photos are expected.
Does it need a base or stand?
No. The rounded seated base sits directly on any level surface, and at this size a separate stand would only take up extra desk space.
Note: Cultural references describe traditional beliefs and design inspiration only. They are not claims that the product produces any actual effect.
