The Red Sandalwood Lotus Tassel Ornament is a hanging decoration carved from small leaf red sandalwood into an open lotus blossom, with a long silk tassel falling from a braided knot below the flower. It is designed to hang from a car rearview mirror or a hook in a room, where the carved petals and the swaying tassel are easy to notice.
Cultural Symbolism & Artistic Design
Lotus: Rising clean from muddy water to bloom at the surface, the lotus is traditionally regarded as a symbol of purity and quiet emergence in Buddhist and South Asian traditions. On this piece the flower is rendered in carved wood, with layered open petals shaped above the tassel and a smaller carved lotus accent on the hanging cord.

Why You'll Love This Hanging Ornament
The carved lotus reads clearly from a distance instead of blending into the interior, so it works as a small focal point in a car or by a shelf. The cord adjusts from 24cm to 30cm to suit different mirror or hook heights, and the warm wood tone paired with the deep red tassel gives the piece a classic, unisex look that also suits gifting.
Care Instructions
Keep the wood and tassel away from water, sweat, perfume, and harsh chemicals. Dust the carved lotus with a soft dry cloth and let the tassel hang freely so the strands settle straight. Store the piece in a dry place when it is not in use.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I hang this ornament in both a car and a room?
Yes. The hanging cord is adjustable from 24cm to 30cm, so it can loop over a car rearview mirror or hang from a wall hook, shelf edge, or door handle indoors.
What is the difference between the decoration and bracelet options?
Both use small leaf red sandalwood. The decoration version hangs with a silk tassel and measures 24cm-30cm with an adjustable cord; the bracelet version is strung with 8mm beads and measures 32cm-35cm (adjustable).
Does the wood have a natural scent?
The listing notes that small leaf red sandalwood carries a warm, natural wood scent. Because each piece is cut from natural wood, the strength varies slightly from ornament to ornament.
How do I keep the tassel looking neat?
Let it hang vertically so the silk strands settle straight. If the strands crease, smooth them gently with your fingers and keep the tassel dry; do not wash it.
Is this a good gift choice?
It works well as a housewarming or new-car gift. The unisex design, warm red tones, and carved lotus form give it a decorative, gift-ready character without requiring sizing.
